Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering announced on the 31st that it has delivered the HMM LE HAVRE, the last seventh vessel of HMM's 24,000-TEU super container ship.

HMM's mega container ship project, which cost a total of 3.153 trillion won as part of its five-year national shipping reconstruction plan, has been built by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. and Samsung Heavy Industries Co. with seven and five, respectively.

Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. successfully completed its national project for the reconstruction of the nation's shipping industry, delivering its seventh vessel this time.

The vessels have been deployed on a route between Asia and Northern Europe, recording a series of full-track marches.

HMM is doing well, achieving an early surplus based on the successful operation of the super-large ship.

The Le Havre, delivered this time by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., is the seventh vessel of the world's largest container ship to be delivered to HMM, and all seven are applied with DS4® (DSME Smart Ship Platform), a state-of-the-art smartship solution independently developed by Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co.

The solution can remotely diagnose major systems such as the ship's main engine, air conditioning system (HVAC), and frozen container, which are also sailing on land, to support ship maintenance and repair operations.

"Smart Navigation" system, which can reduce operating costs by proposing optimal operating routes, is applied, and "Smart Platform" with open Internet of Things (IoT) technology can be easily connected and compatible with various software.

Also notable are cyber security technologies that can protect various data and software from external threats such as hacking.

Last year, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. acquired the highest level of smartship technology and ship cyber security certification from Lloyd's ship class for the first time in the industry. Recently, it went through security verification through AhnLab, the nation's top IT security company, and even completed a solid-line penetration test.
