Jung-gu, Ulsan (Mayor Park Tae-wan), which is spurring the development of leading companies in the fourth industry, had an experience event to test-drive autonomous buses in the region.

About 10 people, including Park Tae-wan, the head of the Jung-gu office, and officials from the Jung-gu office and related companies, conducted an autonomous bus test drive to foster leading companies in the 4th industry at 3 pm on November 11.

The test drive event was designed to support the technological advancement and sustainable growth of Ulsan's flagship industry by securing core technologies in the intelligent future automobile sector through the autonomous bus test drive event that combines ICT convergence with existing buses.

The autonomous bus development project will be promoted from April 2017 to May 2022 with private institutions such as KAI and Autonomy ATG, organized by Ulsan Techno Park Ulsan Green Car Technology Center located at 362-11, Jung-gu, Jung-gu.

In this project, which has a total budget of 3.8 billion won including fertilization, Ulsan Techno Park, and the private sector, we develop autonomous driving buses through autonomous driving parts R & D development, vehicle production and demonstration, and develop integrated and control systems.

As a result, Park and the officials of the government boarded the autonomous bus at the Ulsan Green Car Technology Center in the Innovation City and traveled 15.4km along the route to the Jungsan intersection to confirm the performance of the bus and discuss the future progress.

In addition, we have reorganized the economic structure from the economic structure centered on small business owners to the high value-added knowledge and service industry, and sought the possibility of preparing various support measures to find and revitalize the 4th industrial technology Jiangsu enterprise.

Prior to the autonomous bus test, Park Tae-wan, the head of the Jung-gu office and the executive officer visited the Ulsan Green Car Technology Center and explained the progress of the technology development of future new growth areas such as the establishment of an autonomous driving platform related to the development of autonomous vehicles, .

In addition, we shared opinions on finding out linkage projects with Jung-gu in order to attract and foster technology Jiangsu enterprises that Jung-gu is promoting.

Jung-gu District is seeking to attract and nurture technology Jiangsu enterprises through the Jung-gu Renaissance Project, which will invest a total of 270 billion won by 2030 to recreate the glory of the past and prepare for the next 100 years based on the foundation of future innovation growth.
