Envioneer, a high-tech composite material manufacturing company, said it has started to develop a low-pressure, high-strength, antimicrobial composite material and a car-friendly antimicrobial cabin filter using biomass fiber.
Biomass fibers are fibers derived from renewable biomass resources such as natural animal and plant fibers and recycled fibers. Envioneer plans to apply it to biomass fibers through wet process, which is its core technology.
The cabin filter enters like the car air conditioner or heater to the air conditioning system of the vehicle interior. It is directly related to the driver's health and air conditioner performance, and it is necessary to replace periodically. If yellow dust and fine dust are severe, it should be replaced more frequently than usual replacement cycle.
The cabin filter using biomass fiber material has the advantage that the waste paper is facilitated compared to the cabin filter produced by the non- biomass fiber. Especially, due to fine dust and corona 19, the cabin filter replacement cycle is getting shorter, and demand for eco-friendly material filters that do not burden the environment is increasing.
In that it plays a role of filtering air from the outside, cabin filters are technically similar to air filters used in air purifiers and masks. Envioneer plans to expand its air filter business by developing various products, starting with the development of automobile antibacterial cabin filters.
The development of an eco-friendly antimicrobial cabin filter for automobiles is based on the selection of 'Jecheon Auto Parts Cluster Eco-friendly and Lightweight Research and Development (R&D) Project' organized by Chungbuk Techno Park.
An Envioneer official said, "We are continuing to develop R & D for materials and products that meet the eco-friendly trends." We will actively pursue the related market and secure our position as a specialized company. "
