In order to preemptively respond to the advent of the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and the rapidly changing global manufacturing environment, and to secure future competitiveness that can sustain growth, Samik THK has set up a factory dedicated to LM systems on a site of 43,717m2 (13,224 pyeong) in Daegu Technopolis and made a large investment of 100 billion won.

The new Technopolis plant, which opened its groundbreaking ceremony on March 23 last year and entered into full-scale construction, was approved for completion on July 2, about a year and five months later.

With the completion of the new factory in Technopolis, Samik THK will have production and delivery response capabilities in preparation for a surge in demand for semiconductors and flat panel displays (FPD). In addition, given that Technopolis is emerging as a 'hot place in Daegu Gyeongbuk', it has become competitive in efficient operation of logistics and human resources.
